Vasily Sukhanov of United Russia objected, stating that the street was touristic and that "sightseeers should not be 'scared' with political events." In addition, he noted that in 2018 "the load on this street in terms of holding cultural events will be gigantic", and holding social and political meetings will lead to a "collapse".
