The leader of the Movement of Conscientious Objectors from Service, Elena Popova, was summoned to the Center for Combating Extremism. this on his Facebook page . reports Lawyer Oleksandr Peredruk
The reason for the interest of the Center "E" in the activist was the complaint of the head of the non-profit organization "Civil Shield" Anton Matia to the Prosecutor General's Office. According to Matiy, Popova is engaged in extremist activities - she condemns "draft slavery" and collects money for her activities.
Peredruk told OVD-Info that before complaining about Popova to the prosecutor's office, Matiy first wrote letters to her with proposals for cooperation between his “human rights” NGO and the Movement of Refusals from Service:
She was summoned in connection with a complaint by Anton Matiy, who is the head of a certain “human rights” NGO. By the way, earlier Matiy wrote letters to Popova with offers of cooperation, but was refused. In the last letter to Popova, Matiy asked if she had been imprisoned yet, and promised to fix it.
At the CPE, Popova talked about the nature of her activities.
