
President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the early termination of powers of the governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug Igor Koshin. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
"To accept the resignation of the governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okhin of Koshin of his own free will," the document says. By the same decree, the president appointed the temporarily acting head of the region, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Alexander Tsybulsky.
From 2005 to 2012, Koshkin, a member of the General Council of United Russia, held the post of speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Then for two years he was a representative of the district in the Federation Council. On February 22, 2014, Putin appointed Koshkin Acting Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In September of the same year, Uneneros gained 70.7 percent of the votes in the election of the head of the region.
This is the fifth of the week by the resignation of the regional leader. On Monday, Putin signed a decree on the early termination of powers of the Governor of the Samara Region Nikolai Merkushkin "of his own free will." The next day, the president dismissed the governorof the Nizhny Novgorod region Valery Shantsev .
On Wednesday, the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Viktor Tolokonsky and the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov announced their resignations.
