Medvedev ordered to allocate almost 100 million rubles for maintenance of VIM-Avia aircraft

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed an order to allocate 98 million rubles from the reserve fund of the government for servicing aircraft of the VIM-Avia problem airline,which did not fulfill its obligations to transport passengers. The decree is posted on the government website .

The funds will be allocated "to resolve the situation" with the airline and aimed at paying for aviation fuel and lubricants and the services provided for airport and ground support for the flights of the VIM-Avia vessels. The corresponding document was prepared by the Ministry of Transport of Russia.

According to the press service of the government, "to date, the total debt of the airline for the work performed, the services provided for the supply of aviation fuel and lubricants, and the airport and ground support of flights is about 1.3 billion rubles."

"Due to the debt for the ground service of the aircraft of the airline, maintenance, the provision of fuel and lubricants, on -board power supply and aeronavigation services, the airports refuse to maintain airline aircraft, which prevents the transportation of passengers," the document says.

Earlier it became known that the decision was agreed on the allocation of 200 million rubles from the 2018 federal budget to compensate for the costs of airlines that will carry out the transportation of VIM-Avia passengers in internal regular directions. According to the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neudko, the money will be allocated from the funds provided for by the department for 2018.

Rospotrebnadzor is preparing to initiate a case on complaints of customers of TUI tour operator

Several dozen people, mainly TUI tour operator customers who are waiting for a departure due to the problems of VIM-Avia, were sheltered by specialists of the Domodedovo Airport, the message said.
