The court in Berdichev recognized the local resident Evgeny Timonin and Kyivian Dmitry Vasilz guilty of the assistance of a terrorist organization and sentenced them to nine years in prison of everyone. It is reported by LB.ua.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasilets and Timonin for a long time were on the territory of the DPR, where they provided consultations and practical assistance to employees of the New Russia TV channel. "In particular, they contributed to the setting up of live broadcasts, broadcasting news and video materials, helped organize the interaction between the channel units, conducted the training of persons who were engaged in the installation of materials, and personally programmed the equipment and software necessary for this. In addition, they registered and set the broadcast of the Novorossiya TV channel on popular video chistensary The special service reported.

In November 2015, SBU employees detained Vasilz and Timonin in Kyiv. From that moment they were in jail. Both was charged under part 1 of Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (creation of a terrorist organization, participation in it or the assistance of its activities, from eight to fifteen).

On August 2, the SBU detained the pro -Russian journalist Vasily Muravitsky on charges of Gosizmen . He is charged with part 1 of Article 111 (Gosisman, from twelve to fifteen years in prison), part 2 of article 110 (public calls to violate the territorial integrity of Ukraine, associated with the inciting of national or religious enemy or expressed by an official, from five to ten years of the colony), part 2 of Article 161 (enlargement of hostility or hatred, associated with deception or fraud or fraud or fraud or fraud. violence, or committed by an official, from two to five years in the colony), as well as part 1 of Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to investigators, since 2014, by order of Russian news agencies, Muravitsky wrote tendentious articles on the situation in Ukraine. At the same time, he received orders for the theme and content of materials by e -mail or one of the messengers, and sometimes he chose topics for articles. At the same time, at first the journalist was published under his real name, and then began to use the pseudonym. The fees for his work, say in the SBU, Muravitsky received through international online translators.

According to the conclusions of the linguistic examination, Muravitsky’s articles had a “manipulative influence on the consciousness of readers” and encouraged them to “actions to harm the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine” and, in addition, contained calls for inciting national growth within Ukraine, as well as between Ukraine and neighboring states. According to special services, the materials of the journalist were released on six sites administered from Russia and with the territories of Ukraine controlled by the militants. The names of these resources were not reported to the SBU.
