In Nizhny Novgorod on Friday evening, a protest was held instead of a torn meeting with Alexei Navalny, seven participants were detained. As Ilya Myskovsky, one of their detained activists, told the Franes, in the city center, on Markin Square, where Navalny’s rally was planned, more than five hundred protesters of Nizhny Novgorod gathered at 18 o’clock. The city authorities under loud music held the Cultural and Sports Festival "Positive Lower", which became known only the day before. Polyatactivists arranged a round dance, and then a procession in the fenced territory, shouting the slogans "Putin - thief!", "Russia without Putin", "Russia will be free!".
The detention began without warning. The first to capture the activist and human rights activist Stanislav Dmitrievsky, who tried to lead the column. In addition to Maskovsky and Dmitrievsky, Dmitry Kalinchev, Vladimir Kravtsov, Nikita Pavlov, Eduard Chuprunov and minor Dmitry Lyubomirov, who was sent to the children's specialist, were delivered to the police department No. 2. The rest of the detainees were released about 23 hours after the drawing up of the protocols: all of them are charged with Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for holding a rally or procession), and Kravtsov and Chuprunov - repeated violation (part 8, up to 30 days of arrest); Protocols under Article 19.3 were also drawn up on Dmitrievsky and Kalinchev (police disobedience, up to 30 days).
Navalny himself was detained in Moscow in the morning when he left the house to go to a rally to Nizhny. He was charged with "repeated calls to participate in an inconsistent public event" (part 8 of article 20.2) and released only in the evening, appointing the court for Monday. From the Danilovsky police department, Navalny recorded an appeal to Nizhny Novgorod calls to go to the rally.

The event of Navalny was agreed in Nizhny, but at the last moment the authorities banned it. On Friday, the scene and equipment on Markin Square were dismantled under the control of the security forces. The chief of the Federal Staff of Navalny Leonid Volkov filed an application with the police to prevent the public event and was detained by the same “arrest” administrative article as Navalny. It was reported that Volkova was left in the police at night, but he was taken to the airport and released there. The coordinator of the Nizhny Novgorod headquarters of Navalny, Anna Petkoglo, and two staff of the headquarters - Evgeny Goligorov and Svetlana Lubin were also detained. They were released from OP-1 without drawing up protocols.
The security forces from 15:00 Moscow time cordoned off the headquarters of Navalny in Nizhny Novgorod, they ordered them to detain all the premises, wrote on Facebook by the press secretary of the Navalny campaign Ruslan Shavedinov.
On Friday, it became known that meetings with Navalny refused to coordinate in Chelyabinsk, Krasnodar and Saratov. In Chelyabinsk, the city administration referred to the employment of all sites for rallies, the city hall of Krasnodar gave the same answer to the local headquarters, and in Saratov, officials motivated the refusal to incorrect the notification of the rally.
Navalny already held six rallies-meetings in Omsk, Murmansk, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok and Khabarovsk. On October 7, a similar action is outlined in St. Petersburg. On Wednesday, Navalny said that his headquarters in St. Petersburg has long been trying to agree on a meeting, but officials of the city administration illegally refuse this . Therefore, it is decided to do as follows. The headquarters submits a notification on October 7 at 18 o’clock a meeting on the Marse Field. “If the administration again illegally refuses us, then I just come and spend my meeting on Palace Square. And after it - a peaceful procession,” the politician wrote.
