The US Central Intelligence Administration invites American citizens with knowledge of the Russian language. An announcement of the recruitment of employees is published on the official page of the special services on Twitter.
The announcement is accompanied by illustrations with the inscription in Russian: "Do you know what you can do as an employee of the CIA linguist? Unprust the truth."
“Speak in Russian? Are you a US citizen and have a higher education? Are you interested in national security? Your skills are needed here,” says the announcement in English.
In January, the future Director of the CIA Michael Pompeo at a hearing in the Senate, according to his candidate , called Russia a threat to the United States and said that he considers the assumptions about Moscow’s involvement in hacker attacks on America. He also accused Russia of aggressive actions against Ukraine.
At the end of June, Pompeo said that Russia had undermined American democracy for decades .
On July 21, Pompeo again stated that Russia intervened in the American presidential election long before the 2016 campaign . “Of course, I intervened. Both four years ago, and eight years ago,” the director of the CIA answered the question of one of the security forum participants in Aspen. According to Pompeo, his confidence shares the entire intelligence community. “Everything is not limited to 2008. You can recall the 70s. My point of view is simple: the threat is real. And the American government, including the CIA, should decide how to confront it,” added the director of the CIA.
“We live in a world where the Russians have accumulated a huge nuclear arsenal and firmly entrenched in Syria. They took the Crimea,” Pompeo said. “They like to pile up America. I think when they find a way to somehow make us difficult for themselves, America is simply obliged to fight back.”
