The judge of the Central District Court of Kaliningrad Vladimir Elsesser arrested for two months - until November 27 - the fourth defendant in the case of the Baltic Avangard of Russian Resistance, Nikolai Sentsov. The decision made on Friday was then reported by Pregel.info.
The petition, stated by the investigator of the regional FSB as captain of Justice I. Pargachev, was supported by the assistant prosecutor Meshcheryakov. The lawyer of the detainee Olga Matveeva pointed out on the hearings that all the statements of Pargachev are only alleged. However, Elsesser ignored the defender's arguments.
As well as other defendants in the case, Sentsov was imputed part 1 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code (organization of an extremist community), which provides from 6 to 10 years of the colony.
Politzek himself at the hearing insisted that he never had been in Barca and did not know about the plans of this organization.
The VK page of the Committee of Public Self -defense says that Sentsov is a civil activist who advocates maintaining the historical heritage of the region. In particular, he spoke out for the restoration of the Royal Castle in Kaliningrad and the return of his historical name to this city - Königsberg.
As the Open Russia reports , Sentsov lives in Baltiysk in the far west of the region. Worked as the head of the radio station in the military unit; From time to time I went to work to Poland.
The activist was detained on September 27 after a search in his apartment, which began at 7 in the morning. Sentsov only a little earlier returned from the next trip to Poland, where he worked at a construction site.
According to the plot of the case, the role of Sentsov in Barca was assembled and stored weapons. As investigator Pargachev stated in court, during the search, the activist found Makarov’s pistol, a grenade launcher and a manual grenade. Also, he continued the security forces, the weapons were found in the house with a friend of Sentsov, and this suggests that the activist also arranged other caches in the region.
Politzek himself insists that in reality he has only a large collection of weapons dummies: he is interested in military history and participates in reconstructions. All real combat weapons, Sentsov said, as well as grenades and cartridges, was thrown back to him.
In the case of the activist there is a certain classified witness under the pseudonym Zheleznyakov. It was with the testimony of Zheleznyakov that investigator Pargachev justified the need for Sentsov's arrest.
The first three defendants in the case of Barca, the former leader of the organization Alexander Orshulevich, his successor Igor Ivanov and the hegumen of the Russian Orthodox Church abroad Nikolai Mamaev, the confessor of the first two, have been concluded in the pre -trial detention center since the end of May . The FSB calls the main person involved in Orshulevich, although in February of this year he not only left his post, but completely left the organization. The reason was the warning of the regional prosecutor’s office “On the inadmissibility of extremist activity”.
According to the task of Barca Orshulevich, he set a “violent seizure of power in the Kaliningrad region by committing a number of extremist crimes aimed at the exit of the Kaliningrad region from the Russian Federation and its independent existence as part of the European Union.”
Bars were founded by Orshulevich in 2008 "with the aim of awakening in the hearts of Russian people a social ideal of Holy Rus'." “Our movement follows the covenants of the leaders of the White Movement, keeps and conveys the memory of the heroes of the long -term liberation war. We are convinced that without revising the individual episodes of our history related to the Soviet period, a sober assessment of reality is impossible, and as a result, the revival of Russia,” the movement website notes. Now the movement site and its VK page are blocked at the request of Roskomnadzor.
On August 26, searches, presumably in the case of Bars, were held by six former or current members of the Council of the Regional branch of Open Russia. According to the results of the searches, however, none of the six in the case were attracted.
