The preferences of motorists lined with power were revealed by a study conducted on the basis of declarations of 30 thousand civil servants.
Russian federal officials who are in leading posts, as a rule, have personal drivers with cars from the fleet of managers. But they are not content with official cars: in the family of each high -ranking civil servant there are from one to three cars, and the highest officials have a fleet much more diverse and luxurious than their subordinates. This became clear from the study of income declarations for 2016 submitted by federal civil servants at the level of the leadership of the ministries (minister, members of his family, deputy minister) and the central apparatus of ministries (advisers, referens, heads of departments and hotel).
In total, data on 30,265 civil servants of 22 ministries were analyzed, of which 27,826 were representatives of the Ministry of Defense - these employees, by virtue of their posts, are obliged to publish the declarations. Calculations recorded on members of their families were also taken into account.
On average, the federal official has 1.3 cars per family. The most wealthy are the guidelines of recently created ministries - the Ministry of Construction and the Minka -Kazkaz (1.5 and 1.4, respectively). At a qualitatively different level - the provision of cars in the government itself. 27 senior officials, from the Prime Minister to the federal ministers, own a fleet of 75 cars. Thus, ministers and deputy prime ministers have 2-3 cars per family (on average-2.6).
When choosing a car for personal use, officials of patriotism do not show. VAZ products are only the sixth most popular among ministry employees.
The most popular car of the car among all departments was Toyota (6 038 cars from 38 340). On this car, 5,542 officials and members of their families are moving. The Japanese brand is preferred by more than 30% of the civil servants of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health and Minkazh - in these ministries it is especially in demand as a personal vehicle.
In second place in popularity - Nissan. This Japanese brand is popular among 8% of civil servants. 3329 officials move on this vehicle. The vast majority of these cars (more than 3 thousand) were in garages among the officials of the Ministry of Defense.
In third place, the Korean giant Kia Motors is among the preferences. 2712 officials move in free time from service on this brand.

In general, more than 40% of officials prefer the Japanese auto industry. On a premium of German origin (Mercedes, BMW, Audi, in total, 1934), 1830 officials are traveling. Officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are more than others prefer to ride Audi and Mercedes. Employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade move to BMW.
The ministers, unlike their subordinates, are more held in honor of the German brands-Mercedes-Benz (28%), BMW (11%).
Of the 38,340 cars that were investigated, only 4355 are the brands of the domestic manufacturer - VAZ (2240 cars), MAZ (1168), UAZ (430), gas (306) and others. In general, 12% of all officials of officials.
Among the main patriots were officials of the Ministry of Defense. They own 2152 vehicles of the VAZ brand and 273 gas brands.
Cars of the trademark of the Belarusian auto giant MAZ are held in high esteem of 1136 officials. As a rule, these are special transport vehicles (trucks, trailers). It is curious that the Muscovite still has not gone out of fashion. Such cars were found in 43 officials.

The TOP-5 of the largest car owners (in this part of the study, the Ministry of Defense was excluded from data analysis) work exclusively in the office of ministers. Each of them has from three to six cars. Among them are luxury brands - Bentley and Jaguar.
Among other items of luxury in the garages of officials, the study found two Tesla cars - the wife of the Minister of Communications and Mass Communications Nikolai Nikiforov and assistant Minister of Health Ilya Shilrot. Aston Martin was chosen by the wife of the Deputy Minister of Energy Kirill Molodtsov, and Lev Kuznetsov prefer the Minister of Caucasus to dissect on Ferrari.
The collection, analysis and visualization of data by order of The New Times was prepared by Indadata .

The correspondent Anastasia Torop talked about the preferences of Russian high -ranking officials with the famous automobile expert Sergei Aslanyan:
NT: Why did the “Japanese” and “Koreans” in personal garages in federal civil servants turned out to be more popular than European models? What plays a role - price, prestige, ease of use?
I think the fact is that among service cars the Mercedes still prevails here. And when you go to the Mercedes from morning to night, you have a couple more interchangeable drivers, and your whim of riding costs taxpayers in crazy millions, then in personal use you can afford anything. The main dream of the official is already there, it just wears the status not a personal, but a service car. Then it is important to understand what Toyota it is. This, of course, is not Toyota Corolla, on which even the wife is ashamed to ride. They have Toyota Land Cruiser 200 or Toyota Land Cruiser 50. And these are the cars, what are healthy, the main gangsters on a par with the Gelendvagen. Therefore, this choice completely falls into their image: bandits in a suit, like bandits with a gun, are very fond of Toyota. As for the “Koreans”, the word KIA may mean both KIA Rio worth 500 thousand rubles and the Kia Quoris Kuoris is a luxury-level of the presidential level, which, in fact, is an analogue of Mercedes C-class, but costs 4 times cheaper. Therefore, it is very correct when in the declaration of KIA officials is a model of modesty. And only their people know that she has a full-wheel drive, 500 horsepower, a leather salt, 20 monitors, luxury music and a massage chair. Here is such a Kia.
NT: Is it possible to assume where Nissan and Kia, who purchase officials, are collecting from us or abroad?
They gather with us. Therefore, officials, choosing Kia and Nissan, look very patriotic, choosing a domestic manufacturer. But, of course, you can bring a car from abroad, if you have a lot of money.
* NT: * Why, in this case, BMW and Mercedes prevail in the garages of ministers and deputy prime ministers?
And for what else they are higher officials, if not for this. Despite the fact that the BMW of the Kaliningrad assembly is also our Russian car. Very patriotic.
* NT: * Old “Muscovites” found 43 officials-why such a tribute to this retro marke?
“Moskvich” - the penultimate one from the end in disgust among the people Mark, only “Zaporozhets” was worse. The Muscovite of the 1970s and the 1980s is a car that no one took. No wonder he was stuffed to serve in a taxi and police. "Moskvich" now - only for the sake of ensuring Alibi. You can’t ride the Moskvich, the “Moskvich” cannot be loved, the “Moskvich” cannot be collected. This is not a collection machine, but shit of such a level that they can only be proud of as ensuring their own safety: they will come with a search, and you will say: “I have a“ Moskvich ”. “Wow, damn it, well, let's go to the one who has at least the Volga.
* NT: * How do you assess the fact that the VAZ still has a sixth part of officials?
As well as the presence of a “Muscovite” with 43 officials.
* NT: * ministers have three cars in family garages - can we say that three auto luxury even by Western standards? Or only in Russian?
Three cars per family are an abnormal indicator. Three cars for a family with Prince Monaco and Baron Falz-Fayne. The rest, especially if these are people related to money and power, three cars - the end of the career at once. Three cars for the family are behind the line, spit to society when you are sitting on budget money.
* NT: * How does a personal garage correspond to the official - according to your observations, what are the most popular garages in the fleets of ministries and departments?
The previous convocation went to ŠKODA. For each of the cars, two drivers, respectively, two salaries. It was worth it billions, but to the question of what the authorities travel to, they answered: to ŠKODA. And the alibi is provided. Each ministry has its own preferences: someone on Toyota, someone at the Mercedes, someone on BMW. And they are absolutely pure: management has determined the car for everyone. What to do, we have state contracts. They perfectly went around all the prohibitions, go to what they want, but it looks like a victory in a tender.
