The Nizhny Novgorod District Court arrested the participants of the September 29 action, Dmitry Kalinichev, for 12 days and Stanislav Dmitrievsky for 14 days. On September 29, a rally of supporters of Alexei Navalny was supposed to take place in Nizhny Novgorod. However, on the last day, the city hall revoked the permit and announced that the Positive Nizhny festival would be held in the city center. Navalny himself was detained in Moscow when he was about to go to the station. The head of the federal headquarters, Leonid Volkov , was detained in Nizhny Novgorod when he filed a complaint under Article 149 of the Criminal Code (obstruction of a rally).
In the evening, several hundred Navalny supporters came to the central square. According to OVD -Info, seven people were detained that evening, including one minor. The police also detained the coordinator of the Nizhny Novgorod headquarters, Anna Petkoglo, and two volunteers. Petkoglo was released without a protocol and it was drawn up on Monday in the Nizhny Novgorod District Court. The hearing of the case is scheduled for October 5.
