In Nizhny Novgorod, the court arrested Navalny's supporters for 12 and 14 days

The Nizhny Novgorod District Court of Nizhny Novgorod made decisions on three people detained at a Friday rally of supporters of Alexei Navalny. They were given administrative arrests and a fine. Activist Marina Chufarina writes about this on Facebook.

According to her information, detained activist Dmitry Kalinychev and human rights activist Stanislav Dmitrievsky received 12 and 14 days of administrative arrest under Art. 19.3 Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to a police officer).

Protocols were also drawn up against the detainees for violating the procedure for holding a rally. Ilya Myaskovsky has already been fined 18 thousand rubles under this article.

• On September 29, at a gathering of Navalny’s supporters, seven people were detained, including one minor. All detainees were released from the police department, except for the young man. He was placed in the Brigantine social rehabilitation center for minors until his parents arrived.

Before the rally, the police detained the coordinator of the local election headquarters and two of his employees. All three were released without protocols, taking explanations.

The local administration first agreed on a meeting-meeting with the oppositionist, and then reversed its decision. Despite this, Navalny’s supporters decided to hold the rally anyway and began preparing for the event. On the morning of September 29, police dismantled the stage and seized equipment for the rally. Afterwards, the head of the federal headquarters, Leonid Volkov, went to the police department to write a statement under Art. 149 (obstruction of a rally). There he was detained and a report was drawn up under Part 8 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation by a participant of a public event of the procedure for holding it).

In addition, on the morning of the 29th, the police detained Alexei Navalny, but in the evening they released him from the police department, drawing up a report under Part 8 of Art. 20.2 of the Administrative Code (repeated violation of the procedure for organizing a rally).
