Google excluded the Russian propaganda television channel Russia Today from the premium package on YouTube. It is reported by Bloomberg with reference to the press secretary of the American company.

The RT channel with 2.2 million subscribers was part of the Google Preferred service selection. It collects the most popular content from which advertisers can choose a video for their advertising.

The decision to exclude the channel from the service was made against the backdrop of the investigation of the possible interference of Russia in the US presidential election, the Google spokeswoman said.

The deputy editor-in-chief of RT Kirill Karnovich-Valois said that he did not know the exclusion of the channel from the premium package on YouTube. "RT, like our partners in Google Russia, does not have information about any exclusion of RT channels from the Google Preferred program. We will verify this information published by Bloomberg," Karnovich-Valois said.
