Two alleged militants were killed in the Babayurt region of Dagestan, where the CTO regime operates, a source in the republic’s law enforcement agencies told RIA Novosti.
The agency’s interlocutor said that near the village of Kachala, police “as part of the current CTO regime” stopped a car to check documents. The driver and passenger began shooting and were killed by return fire. According to preliminary data, those killed were involved in the murder of a local police officer in the Kizlyar region, the agency’s source noted.
On October 2, law enforcement agencies already reported the murder of two suspects in an attack on a local police officer in the Kizlyar district under similar circumstances. Then an Interfax source said that in the Babayurt district, security forces tried to stop the car for inspection. “Fire was opened from the car at the employees, and two men in the car were killed in return fire,” the agency’s source said.
The local police officer was killed on the night of September 30 at the police department of the Dagestan village of Bolshaya Zadoevka. Unknown persons inflicted a stab wound on him in the neck, stole his service pistol, and stole his car and burned it.
