In Petrozavodsk, the court fined volunteer Navalny for an action with a cube

On September 4, the Petrozavodsk City Court fined Aleksey Navalny's campaign headquarters volunteer Artem Zaitsev 5,000 rubles for holding an agreed action with a cube on July 22. He told OVD-Info about this.

The volunteer was convicted under Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (organizing an event without filing a notification of its holding in the prescribed manner). According to the court, the action did not correspond to the declared purpose.

“The goal was ‘informing citizens about the socio-economic crisis and the way out of it’, and the way out of it, in our opinion, is Navalny’s admission to the 2018 presidential election,” said Artem Zaitsev.

Judge Degot gave Zaitsev a fine below the lowest limit due to his financial situation.
