On Thursday, October 5, the outstanding Russian director and teacher Vyacheslav Kokorin passed away. Ivan Vyrypaev recalls his teacher.
The issuing master of the theater, director and teacher Vyacheslav Vsevolodovich Kokorin left our life. Despite the fact that today many artists call themselves “masters” and have their own “workshops”, real, genuine scene masters now, very little. Honestly, just a few people.
Vyacheslav Kokorin was just such a master. The master of the caliber of the hedgehog of Grotovsky, Anatoly Vasiliev, Tadeusz Kantor and the like. And he was almost one of the last masters in the world, who truly deeply understood the “method of Mikhail Chekhov” and owned him. In addition, Vyacheslav Kokorin developed his own method, his training, his own way of the actor’s existence on stage.
For many circumstances, the main of which is the “Soviet system”, the master did not make a career in the capital's theaters: after all, in the dawn of his activity, work with energy was not approved either in state theaters or in society-and Kokorin was in a sense the director-rogue. However, throughout his theater life, he headed the largest theaters in the Soviet Union outside of Moscow - from Vilnius to Khabarovsk. Its best performances were staged at the Irkutsk Theater of the Young Spectators. At the time when Vyacheslav Vsevolodovich headed this theater, the Irkutsk Youth Theater was considered the best Naze in the USSR. The queues for tickets for his performances were no less than for the performances of the Moscow Contemporary Theater.
Vyacheslav Kokorin was a shaman, a magician and a sage.
Nevertheless, the main quality of Kokorin was a pedagogical talent. It was a really outstanding teacher and teacher with a capital letter who gave his students not only a profession, but also the ability to live. In the last 20 years of his life, Vyacheslav Vsevolodovich traveled a lot around the world. He was invited to different countries from the United States to Denmark and throughout Europe with its incredible master classes. Actors and ordinary people who visited his seminars came out of there literally enlightened, because what the master did was, in fact, a kind of spiritual practice.
Vyacheslav Kokorin was a shaman, a magician and a sage. And the way he took death (he died for a month from cancer) - with wisdom and calm, showed those who saw this how the real master should leave. Calmly and with dignity. He left, listening to the beautiful music that his devoted wife and friend set him. And we all witnessed an outstanding life and amazingly beautiful care.
After himself, Vyacheslav Vsevolodovich left his teachings and his students who work in theaters or conduct trainings on the Kokorinsky System throughout Russia and abroad. Those who had such a huge honor - to observe and study with this person will be grateful to the Universe for such an incredible luck.
There are no words to express gratitude, gratitude and love for you, the great master. “By tracking the entrance, we eventually found that“ entry ”and“ output ”is one and the same” - thank you for this knowledge, because this is knowledge about who we are. And thanks for the fact that “the performance is the concentration of attention in the auditorium and the development of impressions,” because it taught us how to watch it correctly.
Goodbye, teacher.
When I see how strange the light falls on a fragment of what is called “life”, I see that life is just a piece of the newspaper that flies above the ground, because the child threw this piece from the balcony of the ninth floor, is the meaning of everything.
A very important meaning of everything!
Because God looks like this - like drops of rain, breaking on the surface of the umbrella.
And it comes to me that those who are still alive, have long, in fact, connected with those who are no longer there, and those who have not yet had time to be born.
"Train the entrance."
Which means: “perceive”, “realize” and understand where you came from - after it all “began”.
Big bang.
And I understand that my whole life is just a flickering of lights, it’s just a salute, it is just sparks flying on a dark night - this is me.
We are an “entrance”.
And, therefore, we can love.
And, therefore, we can give ourselves to each other, and care, and joy because we simply touched the water when falling into this common for everyone who lives, who died or just fell asleep is the ocean.
"Train the entrance."
This means that over time you must understand that the “entrance” is “output”, and life is what “always” was, will be and is.
And that God and a piece of polystyrene in the box is one thing.
And, leaving, do not say goodbye to anyone, because no one goes to where it is impossible to leave.
Because where the “output” is written, you will invariably find yourself in a place under the timid, timid, intelligent, like the fall of a oxide from Badminton in a children's game on a green lawn, the name “Entrance”.
