From the very beginning, Maslyaeva pleaded guilty to the theft of the funds of the cultural project "Platform" and testified to other defendants in the case, including director Kirill Serebrennikov.

Maslyaev promised to “release” in exchange for testimony against two more defendants in the case, said Maslyaev and former general director of the Seventh Studios, Yuri Itin became the first detained in the case of the theft of budget funds allocated to the project of the director Cyril Serebrennikov Platform. Itina was sent under house arrest, and Maslyaev in jail.

She noted that the appeal of the arrest without her knowledge was filed by lawyer Yuri Zaitsev, whose services she had already refused. "I do not want to be present at this court hearing at all. In the case of the theft with the "Seventh Studio", Serebrennikov, who is under house arrest, and former producer Ekaterina Voronova is also taking place. She is put on the wanted list. The total amount of theft, which was charged to the director and other accused, is, according to the TFR, at least 68 million rubles. None of them, except Maslyaeva, finds guilty.
