The administration of Ulyanovsk did not agree on a rally against the construction of an Anhui Konch cement plant in an ecologically clean area, scheduled for October 6. The organizers appealed to the court, but he refused to satisfy the claim, writes Radio Liberty.
A notice of a rally of 200 people was filed on 28 September. The authorities of Ulyanovsk refused to agree on the announced site, but offered an alternative that suited the organizers. However, the day before the meeting, the applicant Yury Sokolov received a letter from acting. Head of Administration Vadim Andreev. The letter stated that the action was not approved, since the declared number of participants did not meet the requirements of the law.
The organizers appealed against the actions of the authorities, but the Leninsky District Court dismissed the complaint on 6 October.
The day before the rally in the square where it was supposed to take place, construction work began. All tiles were removed from the park and laid on its territory - as a result, it became unsuitable for public events.
