The coordinator of the movement in defense of voters' rights -for honest elections in the Tomsk region Anna Yudina informed TV2 that the set of observers for the presidential elections, which will be held on March 18, 2018, began.
At the moment, public organizations do not have the opportunity to put observers on the sites on the days of voting on their own behalf of the observers, however, one of the possible options is to obtain the status of a representative of the media accredited by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation (in this case, this is the Internet publication of Lightning). According to the law, an accredited journalist must conclude an agreement at least 4 months before the day of voting with the corresponding media, ”Anna Yudina explained, why the set of observers began a few months before the elections themselves.

Since the “Voice - Famous Elections” movement is limited by the deadlines: the procedure for filling out an electronic contract must be completed by October 10, it is necessary to contact the local branch of Anna Yudina by e -mail: Anna_yudina@golosinfo.org

Why observe the elections of which the outcome of which is a foregone conclusion is told by observers who followed the governor's election campaign in the Tomsk region.
Andrei Fateev I went to the elections for several reasons: 1) to get the experience of observation, 2) just look for the sake of interest in how we have elections in the region, how honestly and according to the law and 3) to fulfill, so to speak, a civic duty, because public control is an important part of the political life of society. At the training, they warned that it would be boring and “surprise how honestly those who control the region are,” the expectations were mainly associated with this. The only thing I assumed that there would be more than 2 observers (from EP and I from the media), for example, at least from the most powerful competitor (LDPR) and did not think that the number of voters who came to the site from the entire necessary amount that came to the site was so negligible. In a sense, I was somewhat shocked, because I didn’t really participate in the elections in some way before, which I am very sorry now because I realized that each person must be an active citizen and at least some, even in such a simple way as observation, to influence the political situation in the country, because, one way or another, it develops a political culture in Russia, with which things are very bad now. When she came, worried, did not particularly understand what to do, constantly looked into the memo, then gradually adapted and went into normal working condition. Closer to the end of the day, fatigue made itself felt, came the understanding that members of the commission on the site quite good, honestly and legally work. Interaction with the members of the commission was quite successful, no one prevented anyone from working, not rude and did not violate the law. I am satisfied with the result, because I saw how the elections are taking place from the inside at the voting stage and counting the votes on the site, I got experience, I realized how I would behave in the presidential election as an observer. I plan to observe in 2018, I assume that they will be more interesting than local governor, I hope the turnout will probably have to closely follow the actions of the commission members. Friends have already partially called on, there is even who agreed to participate and sign up with an observer.
