In Yekaterinburg, on labor Square (a favorite place for various shares), an unauthorized rally took place in support of Alexei Navalny. His supporters announced the beginning of the action at 16:00. But when groups of people who wanted to participate in the rally began to be tightened on the square, they found that a group of young people with flags was already standing at the monument to the founders of the city. These guys reported that they have a authorized action in support of Catalonia. Concerned about what was happening in a hot European country was supported by police officers, who forbade supporters of Navalny to deploy posters and banners, reporting that since one rally was taking place here, the second will be inappropriate. But the gathered crowd of several hundred people had their own opinion.
Activists from among the supporters of the opposition tried to convince the police of the legitimacy of their action, but the verbal dispute led to the fact that the detentions began. A detachment of law enforcement officers of about ten people began to pull out the most active protesters from the crowd - those who chanted slogans and deployed posters. They were assigned to the police buses parked nearby, guarded by one and a half dozen police officers. Several people were delivered to police transport with a drag or in their hands. The total number of detainees was 14 people.
The crowd tried to interfere with law enforcement officers - the protesters tightly surrounded the police "seizure team", took hands and tried to stop the convoy leading the next detainee to the buses. But they could not interfere with law enforcement officers.
The mayor of Yekaterinburg Evgeny Roizman, who talked about something with the police, arrived to support the protesters. After this conversation, the intensity of the detentions decreased sharply.

But the crowd did not calm down on this and moved from labor Square to the police department No. 5, where, according to rumors, the detainees were delivered. At this moment, one of the last detentions occurred, almost turned up by an exacerbation of the confrontation between the police and the protesters. When police seized one of the protesters, a landfill was formed - the crowd was playing a detachment of law enforcement officers who led the young man to the bus. The detainee shouted, fell to the ground. He was not noticeable external damage, but for some time he could not go. The police pushed the crowd, rendered assistance to the detainee and sent him to a specially approaching bus.
After that, the rally moved to Sakko and Vanzetti Street, to the police department No. 5. He was besieged by Navalny's supporters, demanding to free the detainees. They could not go inside - the police put up at the entrance of Cordons, and if employees came out in the usual form in the square against the crowd, now there were fighters in helmets and body armor. After about half an hour of siege, one of the detainees on the phone informed his like -minded people that the police agree to let him go and others if the crowd dispersed.
The activists managed to convince the audience to accept this proposal, although some were set up to stand on. On this, the rally ended - the protesters dispersed. Now the detainees have been released, but they have a court on charges of participating in an unauthorized rally. The date when the meeting takes place is not yet known.
In total, from 1,500 to 2000 participants according to local media estimates participated in the action. On June 12, to 4,000 (evaluation of the organizers) protesters went to the streets of Yekaterinburg (assessment of the police).
