The Ministry of Defense plans to reduce the amount of funds that are supposed to be allocated for the repair and modernization of the aircraft-carrying cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov. This was reported by Interfax, citing a source familiar with the situation.

“Instead of the previously planned approximately 50 billion rubles, it is planned to allocate about half of the previously announced amount for the work,” he specified.

The reduction will affect modernization. The repair, according to the interlocutor of Interfax, will be carried out in full.

Earlier, an agency source said that it is planned to allocate about 50 billion rubles for the repair and modernization of the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov. Then it was planned to replace the four boilers of the main power plant.
