Navalny's election campaign volunteer Dmitry Titkov was attacked during a one-man picket. Then Titkov was detained by the police and he stopped communicating. This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".
Today Titkov staged a one-man picket with balloons and a placard reading "I'm here because I'm for Navalny!" in Sochi.
First, the police walked past Titkov. After about 15 minutes, six bearded young men appeared, who began to make fun of the activist and scoff. One of them pierced the balloons, and the other took the poster from Titkov and tore it up.
One of the passers-by began to film what was happening on the camera of a mobile phone. Noticing this, six attacked her and smashed her phone on the ground. The girl began to scream and call the police, but the police appeared only after the attackers had already managed to escape.
At the same time, the police were not at all interested in the story of the attack. They detained Titkov and took him to the police. The girl was also taken to the department, as she expressed a desire to write a statement about damage to property. In the car, the police tried to take away Titkov's phone.
According to the activist, in the police department they began to put pressure on the girl to say that he broke her gadget. Two and a half hours later, Titkov was taken to the hospital for a medical examination. He was then taken back to the police station. They did not accept a statement about the attack from him and no protocols were drawn up against Titkov.
In the end, a man appeared in the police who began to declare that Titkov had attacked him. After some time, the connection with the activist disappeared.
