A pensioner doused the FSB building on Lubyanka

In Moscow, a pensioner from Podolsk threw a bottle of red paint into the facade of the Historical FSB building on Lubyanka, the Moscow Agency reports with reference to a source in law enforcement agencies. This happened on Thursday, but it became known about the incident only on Monday.

It is reported that special services detained a 60-year-old man and handed it over to the police. The detainee refused to communicate with the security forces. The pensioner was taken to the police department. The name of the detainee is not called. His future fate is also not reported, the interlocutor of the agency only stated that "the audit is being conducted."

On the night of November 9, 2015, the artist Peter Pavlensky doused with gasoline and set fire to the door of the FSB building. He called his action "threat." According to Pavlensky, the burning door of the FSB building symbolized "a glove that society throws into the face of a terrorist threat" by the special services. The artist devoted the action to the Ukrainian film director Oleg Sentsov, sentenced to 20 years in the colony in the case of terrorism in Crimea. One of the episodes of Sentsov was arson of the Crimean branch of the United Russia party.

Immediately after the action, Pavlensky was detained, he was charged with part 2 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code (vandalism based on ideological hatred) and placed in jail. On June 8, 2016, the Meshchansky City Court of Moscow sentenced Pavlensky to a fine of half a million rubles and released him in the courtroom. The shareholder received a political officer in France.
