Roskomnadzor revealed the promised "terrible truth" about the hunt for personal data

Roskomnadzor published on social networks the full version of the video announced on October 6, containing the "terrible truth", which is described by school -age children.

“With this video, we want to again draw attention to the topic of personal data safety.“ The terrible truth ”is that our personal data is on a constant hunt. Therefore, a sense of careful attitude to their personal data needs to be brought up from childhood,” says the description of the video in which students give answers to various questions related to personal data, their protection and rules of behavior on the Internet.

The next entry on the page of the VKontakte department reports that in the summer of this year, Roskomnadzor, together with the Russian movement of schoolchildren, implemented a large -scale educational project for students in the field of personal data protection. From June to August, 262 thematic classes on information security in the field of personal data were held, in which more than 17 thousand young people throughout the country took part.

"Roskomnadzor experts talked about what information is related to personal data, why they need to be protected and what consequences can be brought to careless treatment of their personal data. A series of business games was organized, during which the children needed to identify personal data excessive for registration on popular Internet resources.
A social video for the protection of personal data was also demonstrated. At the end of the meeting, young people were given the opportunity to get answers to their questions, ”the report said.

Roskomnadzor also reported intention to expand cooperation with youth public organizations and associations, as well as higher educational institutions. For this, the Youth Chamber of the Consultative Council was created under the authorized body to protect the rights of personal data subjects. It included representatives of public organizations, student associations at universities and federal authorities.

Recall that after the announcement of the video last Friday, some suggested that the video could hint at the possible blocking of Telegram messenger in Russia, but in Roskomnadzor refuted this version.
