The minor activist detained yesterday was taken from the police by his mother

Gleb Astafiev, a minor activist from the Kurgan region, who was detained yesterday in Moscow, was released from the police after his mother came to fetch him.

Astafyev was detained for smoking near the metro, but in the department, police officers took away his phone and began to look at the records that Astafyev made on social networks. After that, Astafyev was threatened with criminal prosecution for extremism.

According to Astafyev's friend Timofey Uskov, the police did not threaten Gleb with a criminal case and did not take away his phone. Uskov was detained together with Astafyev, but was quickly released after giving an explanation.

Astafyev was sent to a special detention center, where he was waiting for his mother to arrive.
