Politikov's lawyer Sergei Badamshin asked today to consider the case on its merits, since the sister and wife of the accused came to court. They had to give him characteristics. Despite this, judge Alexey Krivoruchko decided to postpone the hearing, since Politikov was not notified of the meeting on October 9 five days in advance. The defendant himself, as well as his defense lawyer, asked not to postpone the trial.

The victim, police captain of the second operational regiment of the Moscow Central Internal Affairs Directorate A.S. Shvetsov, did not appear in court on October 9.
