Majlis requires sanctions against the Federation of Jewish communities of Russia

The chairman of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov will seek the imposition of sanctions against the Federation of Jewish communities of Russia. This was reported by "Crim. Reali" with reference to the statement of the politician in an interview with Radio Freedom.

Chubarov explained his intention by the fact that Echezkel Lazar, the son of the main rabbi of Russia and the chairman of the rabbin council, Feor Berla Lazar, was recently appointed his intention of the annexed Simferopol. “Sending a representative there bypassing Ukrainian laws, existing legal norms and, moreover, the emphasis that Crimea is a Russian territory is absolutely impossible,” said the chairman of the Mejlis.

The annexed Crimea Chubarov called the "Crimean Tatar ghetto." For a religious organization, sending their representatives there is a “crime against their believers,” the politician said.
