Rosneft sued Kommersant

The Rosneft company filed a lawsuit against the newspaper Kommersant in the Arbitration Court demanding to refute the statements from Dmitry Butrin's column "They are waiting for the corrected for three years", published on August 14. It is reported by TASS.

“The author makes indiscriminate accusations against the “conditional” top manager of Rosneft, who allegedly makes purchases from his wife,” TASS quoted representatives of the company as saying.

According to Rosneft, "an imaginary example reinforces a negative image of the company in the public mind."

The general director of Kommersant, Vladimir Zhelonkin , told RIA Novosti that the publishing house "does not understand what exactly they should refute" and intend to "wait for the court's decision." Zhelonkin stressed that this is an "author's column" in which "nothing is said about a specific Rosneft."
