Against the press secretary of Roskomnadzor Vadim Ampelonsky, the case of fraud on an especially large scale was opened (part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code, up to 10 years of colony). This was reported by VC.ru with reference to an unnamed source, "familiar with the situation."

Information is confirmed by data on the website of the Moscow City Court. A card of the case was placed there, considered in the Cheratanovsky District Court of the capital on October 5. At these hearings, the investigator asked to arrest Ampelonsky, but judge Irina Ermishin rejected the petition.

The official has the status of the accused in the case, reports vc.ru. Another accused is the head of the legal department of the RKN Boris Nidin. The application for his arrest was also considered by the 5th of Ermishin, but there is no information about the results of these hearings on the court’s website. Interfax later wrote that this official was also denied the arrest.

Meanwhile, the head of the RKN apparatus, Alexander Veselchakov, Ermishin, on the same day, sent under house arrest, as the investigator asked. The article of the Criminal Code, imputed by this official, is not specified in the card.

According to the interlocutor of vc.ru, Ampelonsky and Veselchaks have not appeared at work for a week.
