In the Kabardian area of Caytykve-Ventishche (Kaitukino Mesopota) between the auls of the Kube and the Psykhuras of the Baksansky district, the security forces on Tuesday tried to disrupt the action by the anniversary of the end of the seven-month war of 1779. This was reported by "Caucasus. Realities" with reference to activist Martin Kocheyokov.
In the morning, several police crews and two military trucks waited in Caithkve. When several dozen activists arrived there, the security forces said that there were “there are instructions from above” to prevent them from a memorable place.
However, in the end, activists were able to conduct a DUA (prayer) in the memory of their dead heroes.
The Cabardians waged a seven -month war against Russia. On October 10, 1779 (on September 29 according to the old style), the conquerors, surrounding the Kabardin camps in Kaytykve-Tsashchi, invited them to surrender. They responded and entered into battle, but suffered a crushing defeat. Almost the entire Kabardian aristocracy died in the battle.
Promotions in KaytykVE have been going on on the anniversary of the battle for more than 30 years.
