Coordinator of the Free People party Sergei Ryzhov was detained in Saratov

In Saratov, the police detained Sergei Ryzhov, coordinator of the Free People party, and he was taken to the police department in the Oktyabrsky district. As it turned out later, Ryzhov was detained for violating the rules for participating in the action (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Presumably, we are talking about a rally in support of Navalny on October 7th. This was reported to OVD-Info by human rights activist Sergei Okunev.

UPD. 20:10 According to Sergey Okunev, Ryzhov was accused of repeated violation of the rules for holding a rally (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) for the "Opposition Walk" on October 8. During the walk, a strange woman with a stroller pestered the participants (as it turned out later, the stroller was empty). She wrote a statement to the police against the participants of the walk, allegedly they prevented her from moving. Sergei Okunev is sure that it was a deliberate provocation.

Probably Sergei Ryzhov will be left in the police department until the morning, everyone was expelled from the police department, including the defender.

UPD. 21:25 As Sergey Okunev confirmed to OVD-Info, Ryzhov is being kept in the OVD for the night, the trial is to take place on October 12 (tomorrow).

UPD. On October 12, Sergei Ryzhov was released after the case was given to three judges for consideration, one of whom challenged. The meeting was rescheduled for October 14.
