Programming Week: Penza will host a programming workshop for children

On October 14, 2017, Penza will host a series of free programming workshops for children as part of the International MEET and CODE initiative and European programming week.

For 45 minutes, the children will turn into astrocades, fly away on an imaginary journey to Mars and independently write their first computer program.

Children will tell how algorithms work, why the programming language is needed, what a “program” is and why you need programming in modern life. During the day, participants will independently program on the online platform using the SCRATCH language.

Parents will see that the child can write the first simple program himself even at 8 years old. The master class in Penza is designed for children 8-12 years old with parents.

Classes schedule:

• 10:30 and at 13:30 there will be master classes for children of 8-9 years old.
• 12:00 and at 15:00-for children 10-12 years old.
