Three more detainees were taken to the court the day before, Suleiman Asanov, Memet Belyalov and Ernes Ametov. However, the hearing for the election of a preventive measure was suspended to search for a translator from Russian to the Crimean Tatar language. The corresponding petition was filed by the defenders of the detainees, the judge satisfied his petition, lawyer Mammet Mambetov said.
“There was an opportunity to talk with lawyers for several minutes, but no one complained,” the defender said. According to him, the state of the client is satisfactory. Mambetov specified that the detainees spent the night in temporary detentional insulators in different cities - Simferopol, Saki and Yevpatoria.
The court session resumed late in the evening. As a result, Asanov, Zekereyaev, Ametova, Belyalov, as well as the Saliev and Timur Ibragimov, also delivered to the court, were also placed in jail for two months, the Crimean human rights group reports .
More than a hundred activists gathered at the walls of the court, they came to support the detainees.

Bakhchisarai district court fined Saliev for 20 thousand rubles. On August 23, 2016, the judge of the Supreme Court of the annexed Crimea Vladimir Agin left the resolution of the district court in force. When Saliev spoke in the Crimean Tatar language during the consideration of the complaint, Agin regarded this as an insult to the court.
On January 26, 2017, Saliev wasarrested for 12 days for posts on a personal VK page. The publication of a photo with the Flags "Hizb Ut -Tahrir" was qualified under part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses (public demonstration of prohibited symbolism), and the publication of the songs of the Chechen bard Timur Mutsuraev under article 20.29 of the Code (distribution of extremist materials). The lawyer Kurbedinov, who went to Saliev for the search, was detained, returned to Simferopol and was also arrested there for 10 days under part 1 of Article 20.3 for publication on Facebook.
