Organizer of opposition rallies detained in Armavir

In the city of Armavir, Krasnodar Territory, the police detained the coordinator of the "Armavir Opposition Bloc" Yevgeny Volkov. This was reported to OVD-Info by his associates.

Volkov is the organizer of opposition events in Armavir. An agreed-upon picket was supposed to take place today, but the activist was detained before it began. The reason for the detention was that Volkov allegedly cursed in a public place. Volkov's comrades believe that the detention is connected with the October 7 action.

The detainee was taken to the police department and after some time the connection with him was cut off. Volkov managed to report that he was left with the police until the trial, which will take place on Monday.
