In Sochi, Navalny's supporters were released after a night in the police department

The Central District Court of the city of Sochi did not begin today to consider administrative cases against Olesya Khristosenko and Konstantin Gudimov, employees of the regional headquarters of Alexei Navalny. This was reported on the page " Team Navalny | Sochi " in the social network "VKontakte".

Khristosenko and Gudimov spent the night of October 14 at the police station. Gudimov will have a trial on October 18, and Khristosenko will appear at the police department.

The reason for detaining the activists was a photograph that Navalny's campaign staff took on the porch of the building before the October 7 rally.

On October 13, Khristosenko was summoned to the police on a summons, and there they drew up a protocol under Part 8 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of the law on rallies). Today it turned out that in addition to Khristosenko, Gudimov was also detained.

On Thursday, October 12, Khristosenko was already handed a summons to give explanations about the October 7 action. When the activist came to the department, the policeman denied her right not to testify against herself (Article 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation), the right to legal assistance (Item 1 of Article 48 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation) and snatched her passport from her hands.

• Seven people were detained at a rally on October 7 in Sochi, several of them in solitary pickets. Dmitry Titkov and underage Yelizaveta F. stood in single pickets with placards “For Navalny”. They were approached by five or six young people, who tore their posters from them and insulted them. Both were detained by the police. For Elizabeth, her father came to the department, they had “preventive conversations” with them and were released. Titkov was told that he was drunk, and they took him for an examination. At the same time, the head of the department, according to Titkov, insulted him and called him a bum. Alcohol was not found in Titkov's blood. As a result, a protocol on petty hooliganism was drawn up against him, as well as against Peskov. On April 9, Titkov was fined 500 rubles.
