The Krym Kino company, one of the founders of which is actor Mikhail Porechenkov, terminated an investment contract with the Crimean government for the construction of a film studio on the peninsula. It is reported by RBC.
As director Vitaly Pavlov, who is also one of the founders of Krym Kino, told the publication, the company failed to agree with the owners of the territory of the former cement plant where it was planned to build a studio (as Life wrote in 2016, the plant is located in the industrial zone on Zhenya Street Deriugina in Simferopol).
According to Pavlov, one of the owners “seemed to meet them halfway,” but “later it turned out that there was another owner there.” The object itself, as the director said, also turned out to be unsuitable for creating a studio. According to him, the Krym Kino company does not abandon the idea of building a studio in Crimea.
