On October 14, Pirogovskaya Embankment in St. Petersburg was tested on the first airolift in Russia. The balloon, fixed on the ground, will allow you to see the city from a height of more than 100 meters.
The Chairman of the Aviation and Cosmonautics Section of the St. Petersburg branch of the Institute for the History of Natural History and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vitaliy Lebedev told TASS that the Aerolift will begin to work in November.
In an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda, Lebedev explained that the ball would rise at a speed of about a meter per second. He will move with the help of cables.
According to Lebedev, similar aerolifts are already working in London, Amsterdam, Tallinn and Riga.
