Programming week: Mitap "Coding for Pomerania!"

On October 10, 2017, the first event was held in Arkhangelsk as part of the MEET and CODE initiative and the European programming week - Mitap “Coding for Pomerania!” .

Mitap was devoted to digital solutions for career guidance and career growth, continuous training of schoolchildren.

Before the event began, the organizers and partners of the European Programming Week in Arkhangelsk held a briefing at the hotel-business center "Capital of Pomerania". It took part in it:

After the discussion, Elena Nikitina , a member of the Council according to open data, held a lecture on the topic "How to start programming from scratch, without fear and with pleasure."

Quick stories from personal experience in programming or using digital technologies in their business told: Olga Yufryakova, Arkady Shadrin (UDS Game), Svetlana Svirida, Vadim Schukin and Dmitry Korobov (Berobotics).

To evaluate the work, all the Mitap participants were handed out, as well as everyone could share their impressions and wishes on the impromptu “Mitapa tree”.

During the break, it was possible to chat and exchange contacts with experts. For example, Svetlana Svirida and Maxim Churov invited the volunteer headquarters to participate in the organization of the upcoming projects “You are an entrepreneur” and a Smart business forum .

After the break, group work began: participants along with Elena Nikitina , Vadim Schukin and Alexei Mirolyubov began to realize their ideas.

The opening of Mitap was the student of the Arkhangelsk Medical College Tatyana Ilatovskaya. She presented two ideas for assessing the state of human health and for help in the work of pharmacy staff. As a result, there were prototypes of applications: a calculator of health parameters and a solution for pharmacy workers to check the recipes.

Meet and Code and the European programming week are an initiative that is designed to support educational measures on programming in different countries. Its goal is to interest children and youth with digital technologies. The event has been held since 2013 in different countries on the initiative of the European Commission. In total, 17 countries take part, and until October 22, 675 events will be held.
