A series of student exhibitions begins on the site "Start"

The Start project of the Center for Contemporary Art “Vincuvod” presents the first results of the Portfolio-Revolution series in Moscow art universities. On October 24, a personal exhibition of a student of the school of the Higher School of Fores of the Centuries of Centuries “Giving birth to monsters” will open on the site of young art “Start”.

Graphics, small plastic objects, videos and low -trip zins will tell the story of the birth of monsters - characters of the artist’s internal mythology.

“The starting point of my art is Maria’s little doll, a female being without a person, but with a mass that depended in a state of endless birth of the monsters,” says the turn of the century. - It doesn't matter who is involved in the conception of this “monster”. The most interesting for me is the condition of a woman at any of these moments. What difference does it make that this is an abstract evil if it is impossible to grab him by the hand and build a dialogue. There is a real body, a real story of an eternal medium (both physics, and metaphysics) and an eternal reproducer. ”

In her works, the artist combines organic substances with fabric, ceramics, paper and other materials, and also uses the author's embalming technique.

The curator of the Start project “Vinzavod” of the 2017/2018 Vera Trakhtenberg season: “The exhibition of the exhibition was built on the principle of the“ dark room of consciousness ”, in which the viewer is left one on one with a narrative resembling a terrible medieval fairy tale: we all like to be scared when the story is not about us, but about another. These "other" inhabit the space of the exhibition, becoming the fact that it can frighten the viewer, interest him or make him think about the whole number of eternal pain points - questions related to objectivation, violence, primary, archetype of the traitor and total misunderstanding. "

The exhibition "Birthday of monsters" will last until November 26th.
