Serebrennikov asked him to let him go from his home arrest and release other defendants. “The truth is for us, and I hope it will be installed. Lawyer Dmitry Kharitonov also asked to release Serebrennikov or at least soften him of the conditions of house arrest and allow him to independently choose the time of walks.
Ksenia Karpinskaya, the lawyer of the ex-Genproducer of the Seventh Studio, Alexei Malobrodsky, noted that the acts that are charged with her client were committed when he had not worked in the Seventh Studio for two and a half years. She asked to reject the application of the investigation and release Less Baby on security of 10 million rubles.
The ex-leader of the Seventh Studios, Yuri Itin said that the law had never violated and was not going to break it from now on. He asked not to prolong his house arrest.
The lawyer of the former chief accountant of the Seventh Studio Nina Maslyaeva said that he, like his client, leaves a decision at the discretion of the court.
During the meeting, which lasted more than six hours, Judge Karpov introduced the protocols of the interrogation of several witnesses presented by investigator Alexander Lavrov. The lawyers of the accused called the judge’s actions a violation of the right to defense and demanded to postpone the meeting to Wednesday to have time to get acquainted with new materials. However, Karpov gave only 15 minutes to familiarize himself.
Also, new guarantees for Serebrennikov and Malobrodsky were introduced to the case. For the director, more than 70 people vouch, for Malobrodsky - several dozen.
Pickets were held near the Basmanny Court building. Their participants hold portraits of cultural figures repressed in the USSR.
Under the house arrest are Serebrennikov, the ex-leader of the Seventh Studios, Yuri Itin and former chief accountant Nina Maslyaeva. From the very beginning, she pleaded guilty to embezzlement of the funds of the cultural project "Platform" and testified to other defendants in the case, including Serebrennikov. Initially, the court placed the Maslyaevu of the pre -trial detention center. On October 7, the judge of the Basmanny District Court Yevgeny Nikolaev, at the request of the investigation, freed the ex-main from the custody and sent under house arrest . Malobrodsky has been in jail since June 20.
In the case of the theft with the Seventh Studio, the total amount of damage is, according to the TFR, at least 68 million rubles. None of the accused, except Maslyaeva, admits guilt.
