Maps of planets and satellites of the solar system appeared on Google Maps

Google has updated its mapping service Maps, adding maps of a number of planets and satellites of the solar system. A message about this was published on the Google blog .

In addition to the Earth, the interiors of the International Space Station, the Moon and Mars, 12 more celestial bodies became available to users, including Mercury, Venus, Pluto, Ceres, as well as some satellites of Jupiter and Saturn (Titan, Io, Mimas, Enceladus, Iapetus and others). Images taken by the Cassini probe were used to create surface maps of these objects. Also, artist Bjorn Jonsson worked on some of them, using images from NASA and the European Space Agency.

As TJ notes, on the surfaces of planets and satellites the names of the objects located on them are indicated, and by clicking on an object you can find out its exact coordinates and the origin of the name.
