As builders depicted on bills of 2000 rubles, the Vostochny Cosmodrome try to achieve cash payments

On October 12, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation presented new bills with a dignity of 200 and 2000 rubles, today they have already entered the Primorsky Territory. The design of the bill in 2000 rubles is associated with the Far East - on its front side the bridge to the island of Russian is depicted, and on the back - the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Amur Region. The choice of the Vostochny cosmodrome as one of the symbols of the Far East looks very ambiguous - scandals with delays in salaries have been going on there for several years, and literally last week the workers of the cosmodrome, which have not been paid money from April, began a hunger strike.

The construction of the cosmodrome began in 2012, already in 2014 workers were faced with non -payment of salaries. In March 2015, the builders reached such despair that they wrote an appeal to the president on the roofs of their everyday life: “Dear Putin V.V.! We are four months without a salary! Save the workers! We want to work! ” At the end of 2015, the workers again sent a message to Putin - this time ordinary, on paper - in which they promised to “resume unrest” if the issue with salaries is never resolved.

In 2015, criminal cases were instituted against the leadership of the Pacific bridge -building company and other contractors who participated in the construction of the cosmodrome, upon theft of more than 7.5 billion rubles. The chairman of the board of directors of TMK Igor Nesterenko was sentenced to 3 years in prison.

Alas, these high -profile criminal cases did not solve the problems of ordinary workers with non -payment of salaries. In May 2017, the builders of the eastern began a strike - according to them, despite the court decision, they did not receive salaries since January of this year. On October 13, literally the day after the Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Elvira Nabiullina presented bills in Moscow, six builders of Vostochny announced a hunger strike due to non-payment of salaries since April. The General Director of the GVSU No. 6 (former Dalspetsstroy) Andrei Nazarov promised to talk with the workers today, but did not come to the meeting.
