For the same acts using the media or the Internet, a fine of 50 to 100 thousand rubles is expected for citizens, for officials - from 100 to 200 thousand, for legal entities - a fine of 1 million rubles or suspension of activities for up to 90 days.

For foreigners, in addition to fines, expulsion is provided outside the borders of Russia, which may be preceded by an arrest for up to 15 days.

On June 17 of this year, the European Court of Human Rights recognized the Russian law on the prohibition of propaganda of "non -traditional sexual relations" among minors to be discriminatory . The ECHR found that these laws violate Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights (freedom of expression), as well as article 14 (prohibition of discrimination).
