The Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested Nazarov, a citizen of Tajikistan, Tajikistan, until December 12, Rapsei reports . The security forces call him the head of the Islamic State cell and suspect new members of the organization of the recruitment

"The detainee in Kingisepp, a citizen of Tajikistan Nazarov is suspected of recruiting immigrants from the former Union republics to carry out terrorist activities in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq, as well as for organizing terrorist attacks in Russia," law enforcement agencies said.

A criminal case has been instituted, which is investigated by the St. Petersburg department of the TFR. During the search, Islamic literature, a gun with cartridges, 50 grams of hash, scales, laptop and communications were seized from Nazarov.

In the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg, a man recruited by Nazarov was also detained. According to the security forces, the terrorists had to undergo training in the camp.

It was noted that the case was opened under part 1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code (recruitment of terrorists), which provides for from 5 to 10 years in the colony. The taxi driver "got acquainted with the citizens at the Cathedral Mosque on Kronverksky Prospekt and talked them to join the ranks of terrorists."
