The Central District Court of Novosibirsk sentenced the former governor of the region Vasily Yurchenko to three years conditionally in the case of abuse of powers, BK54 reports .

Yurchenko was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code (abuse of authority by a person occupying public debt).

According to the plot of the case, Yurchenko in 2010, being the first deputy governor, instructed the abolition of the auction for the sale of the object of incomplete construction and the land on the Chaplygin Street in the center of Novosibirsk. The objects and the site were owned by the company "Gaztransky", 100 percent of the shares of which belong to the Novosibirsk region.

At the same time, Yurchenko gave instructions to sell these objects to the Tactics company, which was checked with the company “Russian hotels” by oligarch Oleg Deripaska, for a price not exceeding 20 million rubles. According to the investigation, the budget of the Novosibirsk region did not receive about 22 million rubles.

Another thing is open against the official under the article on abuse of powers, it has not yet reached trial. It is claimed that on May 21, 2012, Yurchenko signed an illegal order to transfer the land plot on which the landfill with ammunition from the category of defense and security to the agricultural land category was located as the governor of the region.

According to the investigation, these actions resulted in causing property damage in the amount of at least 12 million rubles of a commercial organization, which, under an agreement with the landfill, grown wheat for its needs. In addition, this decision entailed a significant violation of the state’s interests protected by law in the country of defense capabilities.

In February last year, searches in the theft of 152 million rubles during the construction of the industrial and logistics park (PLP) in Novosibirsk were held in apartments by Yurchenko, his son, who headed the PLP, as well as in the Moscow apartment of the ex-governor. The case was opened in part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud by an organized group or on a particularly large scale, up to ten years of colony). At the same time, the former official was not a person involved in the case.

Yurchenko became the first vice-governor of the Novosibirsk region in 2005. In 2010, the official headed the region. On March 18, 2014, President Vladimir Putin sent Yurchenko in connection with the loss of confidence.
