
The Spanish government will invite the country to dissolve the government of Catalonia, to dismiss the president of the autonomy of Carles Puchdemon and appoint the Catalan parliament. The Senate of Spain will consider the initiative of the government on October 27.
According to Rajoy, the early elections of the Catalonia parliament in the event of his dissolution will have to pass within six months. Then the new parliament should approve the new government of autonomy. In addition, the Spanish government will invite the country to create a special body to control the situation in Catalonia. The Prime Minister emphasized that the government does not terminate self-government, but dismisses "people who put it outlawed."
The government for the first time took advantage of Article 155 of the Spanish Constitution, which allows to suspend the autonomy of the region if its leadership "does not fulfill the obligations stipulated by the Constitution or other laws, or its actions cause serious damage to national interests."
According to the newspaper, the Prosecutor General of Spain is going to blame President Catalonia Carles Puchdemon of rebellion if he proclaims independence. In this case, under the Criminal Code of the Kingdom, he can face up to 30 years in prison.
After the performance of Rahoy in Barcelona, about 450 thousand residents went to the protest march. Puchdemon took part in the demonstration. The action was planned in advance, initially it was devoted to the protection of activists of the movement for the independence of Catalonia, Jordi Kuishar and Jordi Sanchez, arrested in Madrid.
The mayor of the city of Ada Kolau condemned the dissolution of the Government of Catalonia. "Rahai suspended the self -government of Catalonia, for which so many people fought. This is a serious advance to the rights and freedoms of all (residents of autonomy. -D.)," she wrote on Twitter. At the same time, Kolau was against the declaration of independence of the region.

The referendum on the independence of Catalonia took place on October 1. According to the autonomy authorities, more than 90 percent of the voted - 2.26 million people spoke from Spain. The turnout amounted to 42 percent. After the start of the vote, the Spanish security forces began to storm the plots and take the urn from there. Referendum participants were detained and beaten. In some cases, demonstrators were fired by rubber bullets. In total, 844 people suffered from the actions of the security forces, while the police themselves did not interfere with the Catalonia.
According to the Law on the referendum, the deputies of the Autonomy Parliament were to proclaim independence 48 hours after it, but they did not immediately do this. On October 10, Puchdemon called on parliamentarians to postpone the adoption of the Declaration of Independence for several weeks to facilitate negotiations with Brussels and Madrid. The next day, the president and 72 deputies out of 135 signed the declaration , but it did not acquire legal force, since it was not voted in parliament. On October 12, Rahoy called the leadership of Catalonia for a week to disavow the document , threatening the administration of the region otherwise.
On Tuesday, the court in Madrid arrested the leader of the Catalan organization "General Culture" Jordi Kuishar and the head of the "Catalan National Assembly" Jordi Sanchez for "incitement to rebellion" . According to investigators, Kuishar and Sanchez organized mass protests on September 20-21 in Catalonia, during which the demonstrators were blocked in the administrative buildings of the Spanish security forces that carried out the recesses of documents in connection with the preparation of a referendum on the independence of autonomy.
