The project dedicated to the work of the poet, playwright and media artist Leo Rubinstein will tell about the Moscow artistic context in which his creative formation and formation took place, and which he himself significantly transformed, the website of the Moscow Museum reports.
The exhibition reflects the principle of the integrity of all types of contemporary art through the work of the classics of the school of Moscow conceptualism, as well as Andrei Monastorsky and members of the Collective Action group, and traces their influence on contemporary artists, playwrights, composers and writers.
The exposition will include the famous file cabinets of Leo Rubinstein and his video works from the collection of the GCS, as well as the work of artists, whose work is closely related to the poetics of his literary creativity and sets the supporting positions of modern Russian culture.
Dmitry Prigov’s radi-mayids and a portrait of Leo Rubinstein will be represented by his hands from the graphic series “Bessarius”, Ilya Kabakov, detailed pencil sketches of Eric Bulatov-“Clouds grow” and “Freedom is”, photo documentation and artifacts of the performance of Andrei Monastery, the schedule of Vladimir Martynov and the schedule of Vladimir Martynov and the schedule “Drawings for Rubinstein” by Olga Florenskaya, Irina Nakhova’s installation and graphics on the porcelain of Grisha Bruskin.
In addition, at the exhibition you can see the personal belongings of Leo Rubinstein and objects from the collection of the Moscow Museum, typical of time and context in which the poet existed.
The cultural program of the exhibition will be attended by poets, video artists, composers, jazz and classical musicians. One of the key events of the program will be the performance of the duet of Leo Rubinstein and jazz musician Vladimir Tarasov, which will be held on November 13 at the Moscow Museum.
The exhibition was prepared by the Moscow Museum together with the GCS-ROSIZO
