"Rambler. Kassa" after three years of existence decided to cancel the commission 10% when buying a ticket. Moreover, the company emphasized that tickets will be sold without margins, even if the cinemas themselves installed additional fees on their sites.
The owner of the Rambler & Co holding (it includes the Rambler. Kassa service) Alexander Mamut bought a Sinema Park cinema network - the largest in Russia.
Mamut also bought the second largest cinema network “Formula Cinema”. Together, two networks have more than 600 screens.
The Sinema Park and Formula Cinema networks stopped working with the filmmaker - the second largest ticket sales service that does not marry from the audience.
Rambler. Kassa returned a 10% margin when selling tickets to cinemas “Cinema Park” and “Formula Cinema”. On the websites of the cinemas themselves, there is also a margin. “10% is a normal margin for service, which allows you to maintain time and gives convenience. If a person is not ready to pay, he can buy a ticket at the checkout, ”said Maxim Tadevosyan, First Deputy Director General of Rambler & CO.
In response to the actions of “Rambler. Kassy”, the Karo movie network (fourth place in the country) introduced a 10% discount when selling tickets through its own website.
Due to the introduced margin, the Universal film company refused to show the Cinema Park and Formula Cinema the new film “Made in America” in the cinemas. According to Vedomosti, the ticket service “Rambler. Kass” refused to divide the income from the additional commission with the film company.
Cinemators "Karo" stopped selling tickets through Rambler. Kassu.
Users noticed that the website of the Afisha (also included in Rambler & Co) stopped showing sessions in the Karo cinemas in the schedule.
