The Government of Karelia, as it became known from a letter from the Republican Ministry of Finance, sent the appeal to Dmitry Medvedev, in which the president’s “May decrees” of the President asked the Government of the Russian Federation. Recall: Vladimir Putin in May 2012, on the day of the post of head of state, signed 11 decrees that contained 218 instructions to the Russian government, including raising wages to doctors, teachers and cultural workers in 2012–2020.

The Ministry of Finance of Karelia did not additionally comment on the statement about the "May decrees" of the president. At a meeting of the Karelia Legislative Assembly on April 20, 2017, the Prime Minister of the Republican Government Alexander Chepik noted that the President’s “May decrees” should be a priority: “I also surprised that the presidential decrees were not fulfilled,” Chepik told the deputies. “I can say that, according to the results of this year, we will follow the presidential decrees strictly.”

At the same meeting, the deputy of the Karelian Parliament Andrei Rogilevich asked the new prime minister to take under personal control the execution of the “May decrees”. All experts lacked funds, Olga Zaletskaya assures, and in order to increase the salary, the states were reduced: “Remember how many social institutions were closed in Karelia recently. But the moment came when it is impossible to continue to dismiss specialists and there is nothing to close. Therefore, the simplest is to ask for money, ”said Zaletskaya. - We have a very bad situation, and everything is beautiful on paper.
