The Center "Transpenser Internet - Russia" has published an investigation into a conflict of interests in Moscow theaters. According to the organization, the heads of at least fourteen theaters pay fees according to state contracts for themselves. Among them are Oleg Tabakov, Konstantin Raikin, Oleg Menshikov and Kirill Serebrennikov. At the same time, Transpenseri International emphasized that their investigation has nothing to do with the “Seventh Studio” case .
We are talking about the contracts of theaters with their own leaders for the production of performances, acting and the rental of the requisite. According to Transpenseri, over the past four years, more than 60 such contracts have been concluded totaling almost 100 million rubles. At the same time, artistic leaders plan and evaluate the work and evaluate the authors of the investigation. And the coordination of such transactions in the Moscow government can be an instrument of influence on "uncomfortable" cultural figures, according to Transpenseri.
After the verification of the appeal of the anti-corruption center, the prosecutor’s office found violations in three theaters, including the Cats Theater Yuri Kuklachev and Gogol Center. In Transpenser Internet - Russia, they also proposed amendments to the legislation in order to avoid such conflicts of interests in the future. The theaters mentioned in the investigation have not yet commented on the publication.
