Residents of the village of Kostenkovo and the nearest villages in the Kemerovo region entered the protest action. At a rural gathering, they opposed predatory production in coal sections and transfer of agricultural land for the needs of subsoil use. Local officials refused to the gathered to provide the premises of the school for discussion, the Kuzpress portal reports .
The outrage of the inhabitants is caused by the work of coal companies on the quarries located next to the village. The extraction of minerals is open there. Coal cuts simply explode. For the past few years, officials have transferred the agricultural land of large holdings, and then change the status of the territory and allow prey. On the territory of Kostyankovo, large deposits of high -quality coal were also discovered. People are afraid that the village can be demolished.

Residents of Kostyankovo resist the work on these cuts, according to them, it is impossible and dangerous to live in the village. During explosions, cracks appear on the houses, coal dust settles on the streets and in apartments, and the soil is destroyed. For the needs of subsoil use, local deputies have already transferred 20 square kilometers, local media reported. Despite the invitations, none of the people's deputies came to the rural gathering.

After the gathering, the residents demanded that the police check the cutting of the forest on the outskirts of the village. Social activist Maxim Ochvatov informed Siberia. Realities that these lands are now belonging to one of the sections. The representative of the coal company explained that the land will be used for agriculture. However, Ochvatov believes that after that officials can change the status of land and transfer it to the industrial category.
The audience made a collective appeal to the police and the prosecutor's office on the facts of deforestation. In addition, they demand to check the legality of the sale of another plot of land of the coal company, since there is a cattle burlot with a Siberian ulcer nearby.
